About Us

Southern Sea Ventures began conducting sea kayak trips in Fiji and Australia in 1988 and have built up an extensive knowledge of paddling adventures.  We have steadily grown to offer a global range of 26 different camping and ship-based holidays. Private trips are our speciality and we are pleased to be able to cater for a wide range of private trips in Turkey, Fiji, Croatia, Australia, Palawan and Tonga. Bring your own group and we can help you put together your own private kayaking adventure.

As founder of Southern Sea Ventures, it has been my privilege to search the globe for new paddling tours and I’m thrilled to bring three brand new journeys to our 2012 selection and by popular demand a return to Scotland, Faroe Islands and Papua New Guinea. Additionally, we have revamped many of our itineraries and more than doubled our Antarctic departures. Our new trips include Croatia Kayak / Sail Adventure- ten days exploring the best parts of northern Croatia and two new expeditions exploring the north east corners of the Russian coastline. In 2011 we had a highly successful crossing of the NE passage across the top of Russia and offer this unique trip again in 2012. Newly designed adventures in Palawan and Papua New Guinea and the addition of internal flights on many of our European arctic trips and Antarctic trips ensure a better itinerary for you.

Exploring the world’s beautiful places by kayak is a wonderful way to refresh the spirit. The quiet and unobtrusive dip of a paddle is a panacea to life in the modern world.
