Sulawesi Island Adventure-Gulf Of Tolo

8 Day Trip

Explore Sulawesi’s Gulf of tolo including the Banggai Islands

Sulawesi is located within the Coral Triangle, an area that has more coral reef species than anywhere else on earth. On this amazing adventure, we explore the Gulf of Tolo, (Teluk Tolo or Towori in Indonesian), encompassing the eastern coastline and islands of south and central Sulawesi.

Starting in the south-east Sulawesi town of Kendari, we sail north and explore Lebengke and Sombori Islands, often referred to as a smaller and less-visited version of Raja Ampat. We’ll spend our days here paddling and snorkelling over spectacular coral formations within lagoons of the purest blue.

Heading further north, we arrive in the remote Banggai Islands, an archipelago surrounded by the Banda and Molucca Seas. Here we will discover unspoilt beaches and coastlines, amazing reefs and lush vegetation leading to caves and waterfalls.

With remote locations inaccessible by land, a live aboard allows for far-reaching exploration, creating an unforgettable sense of discovery and adventure. After each day’s explorations we return to the boat for delicious meals, very comfortable cabins and well-earned relaxation.

This expedition can be combined with our Togean islands trip (Luwuk to Gorontalo) for an amazing Sulawesi exploration. Contact our office for details.
